GSW Vs SAC Dream11 Match Preview

The Sacramento Kings travel to San Francisco (SAC) to face the Golden State Warriors (GSW) at Chase Center on Sunday.

The Kings (11-14) come into this matchup winning three of their last four games but Sacramento fans would tell you that it should be four-straight. The reason for that is because the Kings narrowly lost to the New York Knicks in their most recent outing, at home nonetheless. That’s in inexcusable loss to a bad basketball team and it emphasizes just how much this team is playing below expectations. Part of that surely has to do with DeAaron Foxs injury but the good news is that hes expected back sometime within the next week or two. That would be a welcomed sight to get an All-Star caliber player like that back in the lineup and they are obviously missing his play-making ways right now.

The Warriors (5-22) own the worst record in the Western Conference right now which is truly mira culous for a club who owns the best record in the NBA Over the last decade. Injuries and departures can do that to a franchise though, as both of those things have crippled this team. Many people didn’t know what to expect when Kevin Durant joined the Brooklyn Nets in the offseason but there was still optimism that Stephen Curry could carry this team. A broken hand to Curry in the opening weeks ended those hopes quickly though and they simply cant compete with Klay Thompson out for the year as well. It didnt end there though, with Dangelo Russell, Draymond Green and Kevon Looney all dealing with injuries early on. The one bit of good news is that all three of those guys are back now but the hole is simply too deep to dig out of at this point and it doesn’t appear that Golden State is anywhere close to landing anywhere but dead-last in the conference. Golden State has dominated this series over recent years, sweeping the four-game season series last year.

Injured Players

Stephen Curry – Curry has undergone a follow-up surgery on his broken left hand to remove the pins from the first surgery, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. He remains on track to be re-evaluated in February. Curry’s timetable remains on track, and a return sometime in the spring is likely. More updates will continue to be provided as he reaches various milestones in his recovery.

Draymond Green – Green will be rested for Fridays game against Utah. At this point, the Warriors have essentially thrown in the towel on the entire season, so Green will take another rest day after starting the previous four games. With Eric Paschall (hip) likely out as well, coach Steve Kerr may have to get a bit creative with his frontcourt rotation. Willie Cauley-Stein, Marquese Chriss and Omari Spellman could all be in position to benefit.

Eric Paschall – Paschall (hip) is questionable for Sundays tilt against the Kings. Paschall missed Fridays contest due to left hip soreness, though he may be able to return as soon as Sunday. more information on his status could arrive following the Warriors morning shootaround or pregame activities.

Klay Thompson – Coach Steve Kerr said Tuesday that Thompson (knee) is unlikely to play this season, Logan Murdock of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. Thompson has already been ruled out through the All-Star break, and the circumstances surrounding his recovery and the success the Warriors would be having this year would have had to align perfectly for there to be a legitimate reason for him to return before seasons end. That is still possible, and while unlikely, the Warriors have not gone ahead and officially ruled Thompson out for the entire season. The team will surely provide updates on Thompsons rehab throughout the season and have a better idea on what his timetable is much later in the year.

DeAaron Fox – Fox is doubtful for Sundays matchup against the Warriors. Fox expects to return soon from his sprained left ankle, but its unlikely his return will be as soon as Sunday. Assuming hes out, his next opportunity to play arrives Tuesday against the Hornets.

GSW Vs SAC Dream11 Top Picks

  1. D Russell – He is a great three-point shooter and in the absence of Curry and Thompson, Russell will get all the responsibilities. He could score the most number of points tomorrow and he is going to be one of the best choices of captain.
  2. B Hield – He is a very good 3 point shooter. He will lead his team in scoring as he has a longer playing time. He is another good option as captain.
